One Little, Two Little, Three Little Pilgrims

1 big, 2 big, 3 big turkeys.

4 big, 5 big, 6 big turkeys.

7 big, 8 big, 9 big turkeys.

10 big turkeys for the feast.

The young Pilgrims and their Wampanoag counterparts are busy preparing for a harvest feast.

From our reviewers:

"We love that this book book places equal emphasis on both the Pilgrims and the Native American Wampanoag. It's educational and endearing. Perfect for Thanksgiving ... and any other time!"

REVIEWED BY the IDLE FAMILY

There is a bibliography and two pages of Q and A at the back that answer questions like: Who are the Wampanoag? Did the children really work this hard? Where's the popcorn and pumpkin pie?

FROM B. G. HENNESSY: When I began working on this book, it was all about the turkeys. When my editor commented that she was getting too attached to the turkeys I had to rethink my approach. Good thing, because Wampanoag is much more fun to say than turkey and I learned about a culture that I knew very little about. And make sure you take a good look at the pictures- they are full of details about what life was like for the children back then.
